It’s a Merry Mimo Christmas… shop staff favorites!

Something sweet, something salty, a touch of spice… We challenged our shop staff to choose their very favorite products, and they’ve delivered a delectable selection of treats. Great for gifting, for sharing, for nibbling on by the fireplace — wrap it up, sneak it into a stocking, or keep it all to yourself!

Because who better to take gift inspiration from than the shopping masters themselves? Our shop curators are experts when it comes to sourcing the BEST treats and treasures — local flavors, artisan craftsmanship, gourmet quality… they’ve got their finger on the pulse of interesting, indulgent, and totally addictive products. Take a look at their TOP choices:

SAFFRON

Perhaps the most prized of all spices (and the costliest!), saffron is a perfect treat for the foodies and amateur chefs in your life. We’ve tasted and tested every saffron on the market in our search for the best one, and this one from the village of Minaya in the heart of Spain’s La Mancha region is it!

TURRÓN

It’s not Christmas in Spain without some turrón. But not just any turrón — this truffle nougat with honey and nuts is made of milk from latxa sheep, a breed native to the Basque Country. “Doesn’t get more Basque!” says Nagore, our Mimo San Sebastián shop manager, who loves this twist on tradition.

SILK SCARF


 Add a dash of flair to any outfit — gift it, keep it, wrap some presents in it. Stylish and luxurious, these silk scarves come in several designs and colors. 

ESPELETTE PEPPER GELÉE

If you’ve ever had espelette pepper, chances are you’re a little bit addicted to the sweet and fruity flavor and hint of mild heat. Maria from our Mimo San Sebastian shop loves this gelée: “Foie gras, cheese, meats, vegetables… you can use this for everything, on hot or cold dishes. Sweet, with a spicy kick at the end — I love the unexpected change of flavor.” 

CHOCOLATE-COVERED ALMONDS

A sweet treat to slip into a stocking. These Marcona almonds are on a whole other level – toasted, caramelized, and covered in white chocolate and cocoa powder. (Plus, the cutest tin ever!) Obsessed!
