The Algarve is known for its beautiful beaches, but its cuisine is full of undiscovered treasures. At our cookery school in the Algarve, our expert chefs research and investigate the best of the local cuisine, and they have come to London to give a class that will bring you to the heart of what makes the Algarvian cuisine so special.
In this small zone of Portugal, you can find the freshest seafood, lovely and delicious humble dishes, and farm-fresh produce. We will prepare dishes with humble origins, and with some of them we will learn how to give a modern spin. While you sip on a glass Portuguese wine, our chef instructor will explain the history behind the dishes as well. If you want to take away a primer on the cuisine of the culture of the Algarve, this is the class for you.

Each Algarve Cooking class ends with a delicious lunch and carefully chosen wine pairings. You will gather around our communal dining table to enjoy what you and your fellow classmates have cooked using your newly acquired knowledge.
A passionate foodie (and a mean caipirinha maker!) born and raised in southern Brazil, Vanessa has lived in London for over 10 years. Her background in luxury hotels ranges from guest relations in Belmond Copacabana Palace, where she looked after VIPs like U2, Sting, Bill Clinton, and Prince Charles, to Sales Manager for the London Marriott Hotels central office. She joins us after over 10 years of sales and event managing experience at Beyond Certainty, where she led the sales team.
Outside of work, you can say Vanessa has a thing for heights…parachuting, paragliding, and parasailing are her passions, and she’s eager to add more jumps from the sky to her roster.
