An Ireland native, Nobuko’s love for food and wine has taken her all around the world. After finishing school, she moved to Japan to teach English and get back in touch with her roots, but it was during a stint waiting tables in Paris where her passion for food and wine truly developed. Deciding to delve deeper into the wine world, she studied at the Universite du Vin in the Rhone Valley.
Her sommelier career has taken her to all corners of the globe -- Australia, Tahiti, Fiji, Beijing, and Beirut. Recently, she returned to London to work at The Kensington Wine Rooms, La Petite Maison, and COYA, where she was a wine buyer before joining the team at Mimo London.
In her free time, you’ll find Nobuko baking up desserts to satisfy her sweet tooth and staying grounded through yoga. A passionate music lover, she considers herself a bit of an amateur DJ.
